"Spirit Woman" - acrylic
I hold Bachelors, Masters and Specialist degrees. After graduation from a technical high school, where I was trained as professional fashion illustrator, I earned a living as a working artist doing graphic work in Michigan. As a graduate student l studied mural painting and pottery at the Universidad de Mexico. My professional area was teaching fine arts in high school for over 15 years. I subsequently, entered public school administration where I served a number of years and continued to show in art shows on a limited basis. I have pieces in corporate and private collections. I love color and currently work predominately in acrylic and watercolor. Many of my works are spiritually based. I traveled to Europe and Africa. I left Michigan in 1998, and affiliated with the now defunct Collective Art Gallery in Indianapolis where for two years, I was both a member owner and president. I moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri in 2004, where, I exhibit locally with and belong to Raytown Art Association, Independence Art Association, Kansas City Artist Coalition, Missouri Watercolor Society, Summit Art , Greater Kansas City Art Association and Connoisseurs? Collection, Inc., a gallery in Chicago, Illinois.

In the past two years, I have exhibited at several local sites among them are at the following sites, Kansas City Museum, Cultures without Borders a three venue traveling show, Unity Inn-Two Women Show, Legacy Park, Two Person Show, Saint Joseph Museum, Black Archives Show, Form and Inspiration and an international Show through Period Gallery in Nebraska.
