I began acrylic painting in Junior High and continue to paint in that medium.  My style is realism – at a fairly detailed level.   I paint a variety of subjects, however I have a special affinity for big cats, especially tigers.

I originally took photographs as a means to capture scenes to paint.  Several years ago I began to see photography as an additional creative outlet.  I have since attended a few workshops and lectures with well known photographers to increase my skill level.  Recently one of my photographs was published in “KC Voices”.

I paint and take photos of things that inspire me.  Thus, my art is mostly of animals, nature and Greek/Roman or Victorian inspired architecture.  I photograph in color because I find the many different colors and hues in nature to be an integral part of the beauty.
