Michelle Bergin was born in 1978 and was raised in Olathe, Kansas. She became interested in art at an early age and attended art classes throughout junior high into the beginning of high school. After being discouraged from art by a teacher in her high school, Michelle's formal training ended although she continued to paint and sketch on her own.

After graduating from high school, Michelle attended Kansas State University where she received a degree in elementary education. Michelle is currently in her sixth year teaching fourth grade at Louisburg Elementary School.

In early 2005, Michelle began taking art classes through the Kansas City Art Institute's continuing education classes. Her classes included Creative Acrylics and Basic Design. Throughout these courses, Michelle developed a talent for creating collages. On advice from one of her instructors, Michelle entered her first art fair in Atchison, Kansas in May 2005. Michelle has participated in other art fairs including the Westport Art Fair and the Un-Plaza Art Fair and has done a solo month showing at the Saucy Hound Art Gallery.

The goal of the artist's pieces is to bring emotions to the viewer. Each piece represents different emotions to each viewer.

Michelle currently lives in Olathe, Kansas and plans to continue creating and selling her art as well as teaching and working on her masters in Educational Leadership.
