Nancy Sullivan

Viewers of my art will find that I paint with very strong color. I try to create movement within the subject being painted. When I interpret the subject being painted my goal is to stir emotion or memory within the observer whether positive or negative. I love watercolor because of the transparency and the spontaneity of the pigment and water moving across the paper. It's so exciting to watch!

I enjoy painting abstractly because it is stimulating and challenging, which helps me move outside of my comfort zone.

I have received several awards for my watercolors in the Blue Springs and Raytown Art Shows, the Community Association for the Arts and the Independence Art Association. For commission work or for art you would be interested in, I can be reached at 816-220-3777 or 816-729-8573.
