Nancy Sullivan Viewers of my art will find that I paint with very strong color. I try to create movement within the subject being painted. When I interpret the subject being painted my goal is to stir emotion or memory within the observer whether positive or negative. I love watercolor because of the transparency and the spontaneity of the pigment and water moving across the paper. It's so exciting to watch! I enjoy painting abstractly because it is stimulating and challenging, which helps me move outside of my comfort zone. I have received several awards for my watercolors in the Blue Springs and Raytown Art Shows, the Community Association for the Arts and the Independence Art Association.
