CALL FOR ARTISTS

If you are a visual artist living in the greater Kansas City area, we invite you to apply for membership in Summit Art. Summit Art is a non-profit art organization representing member artists and businesses and providing cultural arts promotion. Organization activities focus on cultural growth and education of the arts throughout eastern Jackson County with our primary emphasis on visual arts.

Summit Art's mission is to encourage and promote visual, multi-cultural art education and humanities throughout the Lee's Summit and regional surrounding communities. Summit Art's further purpose is to provide art education, and to promote artists, businesses, and community resources through exhibits and public art.

Members have the opportunity to be included on the Summit Art website (see Member Links), display their work at the new St. Lukes East Hospital, at Legacy Park Community Center Monthly Family Fine Arts Series and at participating business member locations. We meet monthly (see the Calendar for specific dates/times) at 6:30pm at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO.

To apply:
Please submit application along with five digital images of current work in jpeg format and a brief artist statement about yourself and your work, including any skills you would be willing to use to help our organization grow and succeed. [Printing this application requires Acrobat Reader, click here for help.]
