Omi International Art Center, Ghent, NY
Deadline: on-going
Architecture Omi is offering 120 acres of land at its international facilities in Ghent, New York, for use by arts groups and organizations, museums, collectors, galleries, and entrepreneurial creators to explore the many intersecting relationships between architects and artists. The spectrum of concepts goes from a structure as a work of art itself, to the design of structures meant to contain works of art and new art forms. How are the margins blurring, conjoining, arguing and becoming realized in the 21st century context.
The Program has defined four classifications for submission consideration: 1-Pavilions, 2- Private Collection Museum, 3- Transit Sculpture, 4- Earthworks.
A familiarity with new art and architecture activity is necessary for each category, but the flight of imagination is unlimited. Please take a look at our http://www.artomi.org/architecture.htm. webpage for more details and consider ways that you may help in this collaboration program and for brief submission guidelines. For information write to architecture@artomi.org.
