Sunday, June 1, 2025 - Stonehaus Farms MAIN EVENT
On Thursday, spend a day painting on the property of Stonehaus Farms Vineyard & Winery AND/OR Legacy Park. Both locations are very near each other for easy travel. Stonehaus is a family owned and operated winery. With plenty of outdoor seating and a view of their pond and vineyard, you’ll be able to explore lush flora, and grape vines. Legacy Park is a 692-acre community park that includes a 22-acre lake, disc golf course, amphitheater, and 4.7-mile trail with many charming landscapes among other visual splendor to capture. Do you like painting after dark? Clip those headlights to your hats and enjoy capturing Legacy Park until 11pm.
Friday, experience and capture the sights of a small Missouri lake. Lake Jacomo is a breathtaking 970-acre lake located in the heart of Fleming Park. Enjoy depicting colorful sailboats, pontoon boating, fishing, and gorgeous lake scenery. Summit Art will cover your admission fee. Bring your own lunch! Summit Art will cover your admission fee for the day. THERE IS NO PAINTING AT STONEHAUS, LEGACY PARK OR POWELL GARDENS ON THIS DAY.
Saturday will be spent painting at Powell Gardens, Kansas City's botanical garden, a 970-acre botanical garden in Kingsville, Missouri, United States, 30 miles east of Kansas City. It features 6,000 varieties of plants, with 225,000 plants in seasonal displays. All finished paintings completed at Powell Gardens are eligible for the Purchase Award and to be displayed and sold at the Mini Art Show & Sale on-site, to be held on the East Lawn. Any unsold finished paintings created at Powell Gardens on this day may be taken to Stonehaus Farms for display, overall judging and sale on Sunday. THERE IS NO PAINTING AT STONEHAUS, MISSOURI TOWN OR LEGACY PARK ON THIS DAY! Bring your own lunch or purchase your lunch at The Marketplace at Powell Gardens!
FOR THE PUBLIC - On Sunday at Stonehaus Farms, don't miss the live music by Troubadour Retrievers, plus Levante Tacos food truck & wine tasting.
The public is invited to explore the properties and other locations as they watch the artists paint. The event culminates in an Awards Celebration with an Art Show and Sale where art patrons have the opportunity to collect artworks from prominent plein air painters from all across the country.
