Artist Statement:

Growing up in a small mining town in Oklahoma, art was of very little importance to most of the people who lived there. After graduating from college, I entered the field of engineering. My occupation provided me with numerous creative opportunities, but all of them were within the confines of engineering and technical design. Later in my career, I was drawn to a more aesthetic form of creativity. Photography allowed me to express my creative interests more artistically. My hope is that the viewer will be able to appreciate and be drawn into my images and that they connect personally to the fragments of their own experiences and views of the world around them.
