Paint Out Events

Summit Art occasionally hosts one-day “Paint Outs” for artists interested in painting en plein air in the beautiful Missouri outdoors. Each event includes a day of painting on location surrounded by picturesque landscapes or historic spaces. Artists create artworks during a designated time and location. The public is welcome to attend Paint Out events throughout the day to watch the artists painting live and to enjoy the location! Patrons can even purchase their next fine art treasure right off the easel!

Each Paint Out competition includes a SPONSOR AWARD that ranges between $250-$300. Events are sponsored by the site host or a local business. Award sponsors will judge all completed entries and select a winning painting to keep as part of their permanent art collection. Artworks created during these events will be exhibited after the event and available for purchase. 

Unless otherwise noted in the event prospectus, Summit Art Paint Outs are traditional 2D painting and drawing competitions. Photography, digital, AI-generated or 3D art is not permitted.
